Multi Activity Instructor 2008

Location: Bruton, Somerset
Benefits: Starting salaries are from £202.40 to £242.88 per week based on a average 44 hour working week. Accommodation and home grown food are heavily subsidised
Start: Long and short term contracts available. Immediate vacancy starting 21st January until end of November 2008 and Multi Activity Instructors starting from 22nd February 2008 until the end of November 2008 (there may be some flexibility in the end date)
Duration: End of November 2008

Description
We have a number of positions for a full-time multi activity instructor to join our team of activity staff. This is a rewarding and responsible job which requires team working skills, enthusiasm, a sense of humour, loyalty and commitment.
The position will require the successful candidate to deliver our extensive range of on-site activities to a high standard to our full range of residential and day customers which include schools, youth groups and adults. We will require the successful candidate to have previous experience of instructing in multi activities, have the ability to instruct, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and develop skills. There may be times when you will need to be flexible as this is definitely not a 9 - 5 job!
All Instructors will receive a period of training on starting. Ongoing training and supervision is provided and you will receive additional assessments in delivering our technical activities.

Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a minimum of BCU (or equivalent) Level 1 coach with appropriate safety and skills award and GNAS archery leader. There may be the opportunity to be successful if you do not hold these, however we do ask that you will need to have experience of instructing in the outdoor industry to groups. We will provide ongoing training throughout your contract with us to ensure you have the necessary skills to deliver the activities to our customers.

We have two contract dates for application:

Immediate Multi Activity Instructor application deadline: Monday 17th December 2007
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 8th January 2008 with a start date of 21st January 2008.

Multi Activity Instructors 2008 deadline: Monday 4th February 2008
Selection week will be held from Monday 18th until Friday 22nd February 2008, with a start date from 24th February 2008.
